Prussian Motors was founded by Bob Weaver and Merritt Hansen, both BMW and European sports-car enthusiasts who were tired of the nonsense that passes for service at most salvage yards. Our goal is friendly customer service and accurate parts and fitment information - consistently providing OEM part numbers and paint codes so you get the right part the first time.
Our team

Bob Weaver
Owner
Bob has been in the automotive industry since 1999, working at a truck salvage yard for 9 years before co-founding Prussian Motors with Merritt Hansen in 2008. Merritt had an S52 swapped 318ti which inspired Bob to build his own, but add a turbo! Going from carbureted Ford trucks to a stand alone turbo charged M52 was a big learning curve. Merritt and Bob needed parts for their BMWs and that’s what inspired Prussian Motors. All these years later, Bob has put a number of BMWs back together including an E39 M5, 540 6spd, S54 M Coupe that was completely rebuilt after being 100% under water in the summer of 2017 Houston flood, Turbo LS swapped e39 touring, and potholed e70 x5 diesel with Meyer snow plow. Aside from extreme horsepower, Bob’s hobbies are working overtime, real estate, and water skiing.

Our shop dogs

Honey Weaver
Security (2008-2021)
Honey was a Presa Canario mastiff female with fawn coloring and a founding member of Prussian Motors. We adopted her from Brooklyn Animal Control in June of 2008, the same year Prussian Motors opened its doors. She provided office security and friendly customer service (if you had food). Honey liked summertime, rolling in the grass, and meat. Dislikes are cats, water, and small dogs.

Emerson Hansen
Couch Warmer (2009-2021)
Emerson was adopted out of North Carolina in 2011. He is also a Presa Canario mastiff like Honey. He has a brindle coat, or tiger stripes as we call them. He loved coming to work everyday with his humans and keeping the couches warm. Emmy liked cuddling, tipping trash cans, and bread. Dislikes were being alone, baths, and hands that don’t pet him.

Nala Weaver
Chief Couch Component Tester 2024 - Present
Nala was adopted from ACCT in Philly August 2024 at the age of 4 or 5. Her origin story is unknown, but she is a fierce (afraid) guard dog. Her retinal scanner is on point and if she doesn't know you, she doesn't like you. If she does know you, she will sit next to you and require some affection. 95% of the day she can be found sleeping, likely in the most trafficked location so she can keep tabs on you with one eye partially open.
